A Lovely Autumn Sunday

Happy Sunday my lovelies. We all know this is my favourite day of the week and with it being the first full weekend spent out of the office for a while, I had to make the most of it.

“Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.” ― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When I finished up work on Friday I honestly couldn't be more relieved. This past week had really drained every last bit of life out of me and I was exhausted. All I wanted to do, was go home, get into bed with a hot-water bottle and a hot chocolate and watch The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix.

I spent Saturday morning getting my nails done with my lovely friend Millie. In honour of it being spooky season, I got two little ghosties on my nails and honestly, every time I look at them I smile. I knew I wanted something Autumnal/Halloween-y to celebrate my favourite time of the year but I also didn't want to go too far out of my comfort zone so they're still the classic Amy baby pink underneath.

My boyfriend and I went to Gunwharf Quays on Saturday afternoon to do a bit of shopping. Gunwharf Quays if you don't know is a designer shopping outlet in Portsmouth where we live. We had a mooch around the shops, neither of us finding anything worthwhile this time aside from a gym top my boyfriend did not need but bought anyway. We stopped off at a pub for a pint before we got the train home. Honestly, the whole day was so chilled and just what I needed.

Sunday. Here we are. Sunday morning was spent playing Animal Crossing (my island is finally coming together and the fall update is making me love it even more) and housework. I'm one of those people who actually enjoy housework so I danced around in my PJ's listening to music whilst cleaning. It was wonderful and now everything smells like Zoflora.

Sunday afternoon, my boyfriend and I booked a table at our local Toby Carvery and had one of the nicest pub lunch/dinner's ever. We sat by the window, watching the autumn leaves dance in the wind, with a radiator heating up our legs whilst we tucked into our Yorkshire puds.

Sunday. Autumn. Breezey weather. Honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect.

Now, as I write this, I'm tucked up in bed ready to put Netflix on. My belly is full and I am relaxed, ready for a new week. The one which could change Amy's life.

This is your Sunday evening reminder that you can handle whatever this week throws at you.

with love, amy
